Erika Jost graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. As part of her undergraduate program, she studied German language and history at Friedrich-Alexander-Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg. Jost earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in 2011. While in law school, Jost served as a board member for the Michigan Law chapter of the American Constitution Society. She also performed transactional work for local small businesses and nonprofit corporations through the Urban Communities Clinic (now the Community and Economic Development Clinic). Upon graduation from law school, Jost clerked for the Honorable Kay Behm, Probate Judge assigned to the Family Division of Circuit Court in Genesee County. 

Ms. Jost was admitted to the bar in the State of Michigan in 2011. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, concentrating on medical malpractice defense and appellate practice, and family law.
